I will be going to San Diego this weekend courtesy of some nice people at **** (name of company). I actually have a job interview on Monday but I asked them if they can fly me in on Saturday instead of the day of interview. Thankfully, they were ok with it! The downside is that the interview lasts the whole day!! I just saw the interview schedule and I'm a little surprised. One hour with one person, 3 hrs (including lunch) with another, 2 hrs with yet another person and 15 mins on the phone with a recruiter. This is on top of an almost 45 min phone interview with the manager 2 weeks ago while I was on vacation! I've never had an interview this long even for the job I have now (which incidentally, also flew me in for the day). What could they possibly ask me that it would require that much time?? So, I've been on study mode for a few nights now, going over my resume and some of my books. But I'm trying not to sweat it. I know what I know and there's no point pretending I know something I really don't.
Now, back to the free trip...This is my first time back in SD since the Kakushi Toride premiere back in late April so I'm happy to be able to see my family again. It's just too bad, my parents are on vacation. No free meals at good restaurants for me this time. LOL Hmmm...I should probably get an appointment with my hair stylist. Here's a little tidbit about me... In the 8 yrs that I've been in the Bay Area, I've only gotten my hair cut here once and the lady who cut it, ruined my hair! So, I always go to SD for haircuts and highlights. I've had the same stylist for over 10 yrs!! I also go to the same alteration shop and until a few months ago, the same dry cleaners. All in San Diego. Yeah, I'm weird like that.
Anyway, I hope things will go well this weekend.
